Part-Time Leasing Officer (Mat Leave Cover)

Pay: SCHADS Level 2.1 plus casual loading- $43.23 per hour + super
Location: Offices available in Beenleigh, Capalaba, Ipswich, Spring Hill, Bundaberg, or Manunda. (plus WFH)
Employment Type: Fixed-term (6 months) | Part-time - 2.5 days per week

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a values-led community services organisation to recruit an experienced Leasing Officer for a 6-month maternity leave cover. This is a part-time (2.5 days/week) opportunity with a stable, office-based leasing focus and some hybrid/WFH flexibility.

If you've worked in property or tenancy administration and you enjoy getting lease documentation, renewals and rent processes running smoothly, this one will suit.


About the Role

In this role, you'll oversee residential and commercial lease agreements and keep tenancy documentation accurate, compliant and up to date. You'll manage lease renewals, new agreements, vacates, rent receipting and arrears reporting, while maintaining the organisation's property register in the Property Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage lease renewals and related documentation
  • Support market appraisals and rent setting in line with market conditions
  • Coordinate new agreements and renewals (including tenancy and rooming agreements as applicable)
  • Process vacates and ensure exit documentation is completed correctly
  • Maintain the property register and ensure records are accurate in the Property Management System
  • Complete rent receipting, support arrears reporting and liaise with Finance for bonds/rent payments
  • Ensure documentation and processes align with relevant tenancy legislation and organisational requirements
  • Contribute to improvements in leasing workflows and administrative processes

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in leasing, property management, or tenancy administration (ideally 2+ years)
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence managing high-volume documentation
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders
  • Current, unrestricted C Class Driver Licence
  • Ability to obtain/maintain required checks (typically Blue Card / Working with Children Check, police checks, etc.)

Desirable

  • Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice / Property Services (or similar)
  • Experience working with rooming agreements, community housing, or supported accommodation settings
  • Confidence interpreting tenancy and leasing legislation and applying it to day-to-day work
