Job Description

Do you have a deeply embedded commitment to evidence based therapeutic care for young people and as such you are passionate about cultivating a continuous improvement culture through evaluation and continuous improvement of learning interventions? This role could be right for you!

Key Accountabilities in the role:

  • Lead, manage, inspire and coach the large Therapeutic Practice team to enhance their capability and services to Operations that align with organisational goals and practices.
  • Provide expertise in assessment and therapeutic trauma-informed response to children and young people
  • Assign and oversee caseloads of Therapeutic Team through reflective supervision
  • Demonstrate a high level capability building through ensuring training and development needs across all teams are current and aligned to therapeutic governance and practices.
  • Ensure therapeutic practices are implemented and maintained to enhance effectiveness across all services through the therapeutic practice teams.
  • Provide effective professional guidance to operational staff including providing high level professional advice to drive the delivery of safe and high-quality therapeutic services and reduce risk.
  • Partner with various departments in the organisation to integrate therapeutic governance with overall capability, ensuring quality service delivery.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work or Psychology, or other professional care related discipline
  • A post-graduate quality in a health-related field.
  • Proven training and development experience, ideally within a growing professional services environment.
  • Proven experience in implementing organisation wide therapeutic practices across a range of services
  • Experience with statistical software packages, data collection and evaluation
  • Project management and excellent communication skills.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualifications in a human service, health or social sector
  • Experience in a desirable learning interventions, therapeutic practice and supervision

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Australia, hold an unrestricted driver's licence, and must be willing to undergo state specific checks (details to be provided), including eligibility to work with Children and Qualifications.
