A terrific opportunity is available for a VCE Biology teacher to join an accredited International Baccalaureate Islamic school located in Truganina in 2024. This distinguished school, catering to approximately 1600 students spanning from years P-12, welcomes both seasoned educators and recent graduates. The institution boasts a positive student conduct environment and is inclusive, embracing teachers of all faiths.
Key duties:
- Collaborate within a supportive year 10-12 teaching team
- Create and formulate comprehensive lesson plans, assessments, and curriculum materials adhering to Australian curriculum standards in Science/Biology
- Conduct dynamic and impactful classroom instruction, cultivating a positive and enriching learning atmosphere
- Demonstrate a dedication to ongoing professional development and growth
- Embrace the educational philosophy of the school, with an understanding that adherence to the Islamic faith is not mandatory, and there are no strict dress requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching VCE Science
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
