About the Role:

An exciting chance awaits a passionate senior Biology Teacher to become a part of an excellent Catholic school in Melton from now, instructing students in grades 10-11. Offering a Full-time, ongoing position based at the main campus in Melton, be part of a wonderful and well respected school community from Term 1, onwards.


Key duties:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging Biology curriculum in accordance with the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Deliver effective and interactive Biology lessons, incorporating laboratory work and hands-on experiments.
  • Develop assessments to evaluate students' understanding of biological concepts and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Oversee and manage the biology laboratory, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Plan and execute laboratory experiments that enhance students' practical understanding of biology.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in biological sciences and teaching methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other science teachers to coordinate interdisciplinary activities and projects.

Skills & Experience:

  • Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
  • Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching VCE Biology, in Australia
  • Previous experience teaching within the Catholic System advantageous
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
