About the Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, passionate and engaging Maths Teacher to join a Catholic College and teach in an innovative and contemporary environment.
As an innovative Maths Teacher you will strive to create a learning environment which engages and extends our students, enabling all students to flourish. This a full time ongoing position commencing 15 July 2024.
The ability to teach either Maths Methods or Specialist Maths would be an advantage
- Classroom Teacher - Mathematics
- Year 11, 10 and 9
- Commence in Term 3, 2024
Key duties:
- Strong understanding of Mathematics curriculum
- Plan, develop, review and evaluate curriculum in subject areas and at year levels which you teach
- Develop a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater for individual learning needs
- Employ a variety of effective teaching strategies to effectively implement the curriculum
- Write formal academic reports that conform to report writing guidelines
- Exercise pastoral care in a manner which reflects school values
- Be open to researching areas of interest relevant to directions provided in the school's strategic plan
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors of Education/Masters of Teaching or equivalent
- VIT Registration
- Right to work in Australia
- Graduate and experienced teachers welcome to apply
Desired Skills & Experience:
- VCE Math Methods and VCE Specialist Math
- Ability to extend lesson plans for high-ability students
- Experience working with a range of diverse learnering needs and additional needs
