About the Role:
Calling all passionate VCE Maths teachers! Tradewind is excited to collaborate with an Senior School in Tarneit, working with students in years 11-12, teaching General Maths, starting in Term 1, in a full-time ongoing opportunity.
Key duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive VCE Maths curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum guidelines, possibly covering General/Further Maths classes.
- Create engaging and rigorous lesson plans that address the specific content and skills required for success in VCE Maths subjects.
- Prepare students for the VCE Maths examinations by teaching content, problem-solving strategies, and examination techniques.
- Administer practice exams and assessments to gauge students' readiness and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize technology tools and resources effectively to enhance VCE Maths instruction, including graphing calculators, mathematical software, online resources, and digital learning platforms.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in VCE Maths education, teaching methodologies, curriculum developments, and assessment strategies
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Previous experience in teaching VCE Maths a must
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
