Family Support Case Worker
Pay: SCHADS Level 5 + casual loading and super
Location: Based in Robina, with reach across Gold Coast, Beenleigh, and Eagleby
Employment Type: 3-month locum contract | Approx. 60 hours per fortnight
Contract Dates: 1 April 2026 to 30 June 2026
Tradewind Australia is partnering with a respected community services provider to recruit an experienced Family Support Case Worker for a short-term locum opportunity. The role is suited to someone who enjoys practical, outreach-focused work with children, young people and families experiencing multiple and complex needs.
Working across the Gold Coast, Beenleigh and Eagleby, this role offers a mix of collaborative case work and autonomous outreach support, with flexibility across days and hours. The preference is for a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday.
About the Role
As a Family Support Case Worker, you will support children, young people, parents and carers through structured case plan work, practical outreach and family-focused support. You will work closely with the broader Youth At Risk Alliance team to help maintain continuity of care, contribute to individual case plans and provide responsive support aligned to client goals.
This is a hands-on role where relationship building, sound judgement and strong case management practice are essential. You will engage with families in their homes and communities, support service access, assist with appointments and activities, and contribute to a strengths-based, client-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities
- Support children, young people, parents and carers in line with individual case plans
- Provide practical outreach, mentoring and family support in home and community settings
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care across the program
- Liaise with services, stakeholders and supports to help clients access the right assistance
- Transport clients to appointments, activities and other relevant services where required
- Contribute to reports, case notes and documentation to a professional standard
- Support the delivery of group-based and experiential program activities where needed
- Maintain a strong focus on client safety, wellbeing and best-practice case management
What You'll Bring
Essential - Bachelor-level qualification in Social Work, Human Services or a related field
- Experience working with children, young people and families with multiple and complex needs
- Strong understanding of parenting, family functioning and effective family engagement
- Experience using case management within a strengths-based, holistic and client-centred framework
- Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, advocacy and stakeholder engagement
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel as part of the role
- Current probity checks and compliance requirements relevant to community services work
- Confidence using digital systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable - Masters qualification
- Experience in outreach or in-home family support
- Experience working across multi-agency or panel-based service models
- Knowledge of the Gold Coast, Beenleigh and Eagleby service landscape
