Role Description/Criteria
The Director of Sport overseas all matters that relate to sport at St Bernard's. Includes all ACC Sport, the internal sports program, house competitions and all High-Performance Sports Academies. The Director of Sport is to drive continuous improvement in this area giving opportunity for excellence in performance and maximum participation amongst the student body. The Director of Sport will seek every opportunity to encourage participation and elevate performance.
There is currently no teaching component in this role. Teaching or Non Teaching applicants will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Oversight of ACC sports management and coordination of all related activitie
Management of non-ACC sporting programs, including House Carnivals and other internal events
Leadership and support of the Teacher in Charge of Sport
Coordination of the High Performance Program and Sports Academy initiatives
Delivery and development of the ACC Performance elective
Supervision, mentoring, and coordination of sports staff
Ongoing communication with stakeholders and a focus on continuous program improvement
Budget planning and financial management for all sporting programs
You will have:
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Coaching accreditation and/or experience in sports administration (highly desirable)
Relevant qualifications or experience working with young people
Current First Aid certification (preferred)
Experience within a Catholic education environment (desirable)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities
