Job Description
Tradewind Australia is partnering with a respected community provider in Alice Springs to recruit an experienced and compassionate Family Violence Practitioner to deliver high quality, safe and effective family violence responses.
About the Role
As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, you will work alongside housing services to provide specialised co-case management, crisis response, and secondary consultations to those impacted by, and those using, violence. You will also support the enhancement of referral pathways and service provision by playing a key role in stakeholder management and internal capacity building.
The position has the option of full-time or part-time hours, permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist family violence co-case management and crisis response
- Conduct ongoing risk assessment and safety planning
- Collaborate with clients to provide tailored case plans meeting their needs and goals
- Provide secondary consultations and sector-specific expertise to enhance service response
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders in the community
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with organisational and legislative requirements
What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline
- Experience working in the family violence sector
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and safety planning
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work autonomously
- A national police check and working with children check
